FOUNDER TEACHER
STUDENT

Hi! My name is Roman. I believe there is a shortage of true leaders. My goal is to help build the next generation of of leaders and to bring ownership back to the genuine and authentic.

Early Life: Musician

I first picked up a guitar when I was around 10 years old. Ever since then I was hooked — both to playing the guitar and writing songs. After years of starting bands that could never stay together, I finally started one that played many shows and built up a decent following in the Sacramento, California area.

We were a gritty, hyper punk rock band that enjoyed leading mosh pits and causing audio chaos. We played at every venue in Sacramento.

UC Berkeley: University Days

After that punk rock band, I started a more serious band that was set to sign to a record label and go on a U.S. tour, but things didn't go according to plan.

Since I was in foster care from 16 to 18 , I was able to get a full ride in federal funding.

When I got accepted into UC Berkeley for the Economics program, I figured this was a better opportunity than being in a semi-successful rock band (I have some regrets) .

Early Career: Airbnb

In 2017 I accepted my first job in tech as an Accounts Receivable Analyst. I accepted this job reluctantly due to bills, but I did meet some really cool people.

But it wasn't too long before I had the urge to pursue something more meaningful.

Quitting

In 2018 I decided to quit Airbnb to pursue my dream of being a musician... just like the beginning.

After about 8 months of learning about recording and production, I released my first song and became an instant success!

Jk. a whopping 10 views and 20 listens on my first release. I also lost tens of thousands of dollars from running ad campaigns and doing everything I can to have a successful music career.

Back to the 9-to-5

Savings account dried up. Had to get a job. Started working as a Data Analyst for a bank in Sacramento.

Hated every second of it, and was still making music after work and on the weekends .

COVID-19 Era

When the world shut down in 2020, I was let go from the bank due to being a contractor. I took this opportunity to use the money I earned to move to Los Angeles to give this music thing one more solid attempt.

Failed Again

I was unable to get the music career going, but I did meet the woman I would spend the rest of my life with there. From LA, we decided to go backpacking, living in Airbnb to Airbnb all around the west coast. We even stayed in Taiwan for 6 months.

This was a wild time.

Building a Business

Both my fiancée and I moved back to my hometown near my mom where we got an apartment and rented out an office. We decided to start our own business leveraging her graphic design background and my content marketing background from music.

We started a design / marketing agency that did well enough to cover our living expenses.

And this is where we are now: continuing to build our business, but also building a community on social media.

My mission is to help build the next generation of leaders who are genuine and authentic
